Inspiration: Fisher Boats at Rest by Elandria of Tenerife
I haven’t disappeared from the face of the earth ;P … but I have been a bit distracted in the real world. Why?
I am trying to quit smoking … again. I have not had even one in the month of March … I am taking it one moment at a time and not stressing over all the things that I am not accomplishing this month … I painted on the computer this week-end but it was not seascapes … perhaps some mermaid tails … but I haven’t put them in a painting yet … and after I step back away from them and they sit awhile .. I may not like them as is at all … we’ll see.
I found the Gallery of Elandria of Tenerife at Imagekind though and she paints gloriously alive and inspiring seascapes [as well as lovely other subjects too]. I love dusk, or twilight if you will, at the beach … this painting of moored boats reminds me of a fisherman’s cove, not a harbor … anchor the fishing fleet near the small village along the coast and swim ashore to the house just out of sight where a fish chowder supper is hot and steaming on the hearth waiting for the captain and crew.
Great art inspires stories and this one spun a mouth-watering tale of work, home and family for ordinary every day people. I can smell the chowder on the evening breeze! Smells yummy! I hope this painting inspires you to tell us a story in your painting!
